During this reading i was opened up to a whole new writing style. I have always been taught and told to write in MLA format, but i did not know there were other styles of writing out there for papers to be used for college and on a proffessional level. It actually was quite confusing the way it was explained in the book. I found it easier to see the differences of these two styles in the Easy Writer. However, i was able to see only minor changes to the in-text citations, whereas in the full citations there were total changes to the way i was used to. In APA style i saw that it was much less specific in citing and working with sources. For instance, MLA needed the authors first name, APA only needed the first initial. Its mainly the way they abbreviate and use information differently. I would have a hard time adjusting to the way you underline, italicize or quotation titles of books, articles, or other things. Overall, even though i am so used to MLA format, i really like the way APA is styled and organized, it would help me keep things organized in my papers when handling sources.
